Why pool service in Jurupa Valley is a different job
Pool service in Jurupa Valley, CA is a different job than pool service in the city of Riverside, and anyone who has run both will tell you why in one word: dirt. Jurupa Valley sits low along the Santa Ana River, backs onto the Jurupa Mountains, and still has more unpaved lots, arenas and ag land than any city its size in the county. All of that ends up in the water. Pool Time has run weekly routes through Mira Loma, Pedley, Rubidoux, Glen Avon and Sunnyslope for over ten years, and every one of those routes is built around one fact: a Jurupa Valley skimmer basket fills up faster than a Riverside one.

Tired of vacuuming silt off the deep end every weekend? Hand it over.

Why Jurupa Valley pools fill up faster than most
The river bottom is the first reason. Anything west of Rubidoux and south of the 60 sits in a wind corridor, and when the afternoon breeze picks up off the Santa Ana it carries fine silt straight over the fence. That silt doesn’t float. It sinks, settles on the floor, and turns your pool a dull brown at the deep end by Thursday if nobody vacuums.
The second reason is the horses. Sky Country, Indian Hills and a good stretch of Pedley are equestrian lots, which means dirt arenas, shavings, hay and a lot of open ground. A pool on a horse property runs its filter harder than a pool on a suburban cul-de-sac. We clean filters twice a year on every plan, but out here we watch the pressure gauge every visit, because a cartridge that’s fine for a Woodcrest pool can be blinded in six weeks in Sky Country.
Then there’s Mira Loma. The warehouse corridor along Etiwanda and the truck traffic on the 60 put a fine black dust on everything, including tile lines. It shows up as a grey band at the waterline that ordinary brushing doesn’t move. We hit it with a tile brush every visit, and when it’s set in, we recommend a proper pool tile cleaning.
Add the heat. Jurupa Valley runs a few degrees hotter than the Riverside side of the mountains, and chlorine burns off faster in a pool that’s already carrying organic load. That’s why an every-other-week schedule fails here in July.
What a Jurupa Valley route visit covers
Skim, brush the walls and tile line, vacuum, empty both baskets, test and balance the water with professional chemicals, and check the pump, filter and heater before we leave. In the hot months we add phosphate remover, because dust and hay carry phosphates and phosphates feed algae.
You can pick Chemical-Only or Full Service. Chemical-Only starts at $100 a month and covers the chemistry, the baskets and the equipment check while you do the physical cleaning. Full Service starts at $170 a month and we do all of it. For most Jurupa Valley pools we’d point you at Full Service, because the vacuuming is the part that matters most here and it’s the part that gets skipped.
Repairs are the other half of what we do. If the pump won’t prime, the heater won’t light, or the filter pressure keeps climbing, we handle pool pump repair and the rest of the equipment pad on Hayward, Pentair, Jandy and Zodiac gear. And if the pool has already gone green, which happens fast on a horse lot after a windy week, a green-to-clean gets it back before it goes on the weekly schedule.
From Mira Loma to Glen Avon, where we go
All of it. Jurupa Valley only became a city in 2011, but the communities inside it are old and each one has its own kind of pool. Mira Loma and the newer tracts near the Eastvale line have standard suburban pools, often with salt systems. Pedley, Sunnyslope and Sky Country are the big lots with the big pools and the big debris load. Rubidoux and Glen Avon along the river have some of the oldest pools in the city, and older pools mean older plaster and older equipment, which changes what we look for on the pad. Belltown, Indian Hills and the Jurupa Hills round it out.
If you can see the Jurupa Mountains or Flabob Airport from your yard, you’re on one of our routes. Not sure? Call (951) 577-1195 and we’ll tell you.
What pool service costs in Jurupa Valley
Chemical-Only from $100 a month. Full Service from $170 a month. The final number depends on pool size, tree and dust exposure, and the condition the pool is in the day we start. A big pool on an equestrian lot in Sky Country will sit higher in the range than a standard pool in a Mira Loma tract, and we’d rather tell you that up front than surprise you.
We quote over the phone. Tell us the size, roughly where you are, and what the water looks like today. If you want to understand what drives the price, we broke it down in our guide to pool service cost in Riverside.

What Our Customers Say

Most of our customers came from a neighbor telling them about us. That is the only kind of advertising that has ever really worked for a pool company, so we take it seriously.

Jurupa Valley pool service questions
Straight answers to what Jurupa Valley pool owners ask us most. If yours isn’t here, call and ask.
Yes, but it changes the plan. A pool on an equestrian lot needs the floor vacuumed every visit and the filter pressure checked every visit, not just at the twice-yearly cleaning. In windy stretches we may suggest a second stop. We'll tell you straight if your pool is one that needs it.
That's silt, not algae. River-bottom dust sinks to the floor and the deep end goes brown first. Vacuuming fixes it; more chlorine doesn't. If it's green as well as brown, you've got both, and that's a green-to-clean.
Chemical-Only from $100 a month, Full Service from $170. Bigger pools and dustier lots sit higher in the range. We quote by phone.
Yes. Mira Loma is on our regular routes. The newer pools out there tend to have salt systems, and the Mira Loma dust is hard on salt cells, so we check them every visit.
No. An unlocked side gate or pasture gate is enough. We leave a note or send an update so you know we've been.
No. Both plans are month to month.
